James H. Richardson and staff are concerned about and respect

We understand that you furnish sensitive data to us in the
course of our daily business and we are committed to treating
such information responsibly. We know that you expect privacy
and security regarding your personal and financial affairs
and we will take the necessary steps to safeguard all information
that has been entrusted to us by you.
CPA's,
like all providers of personal financial services, are now
required by law to inform clients of their policies regarding
privacy of client information. CPA's have been and continue
to be bound by professional standards of confidentiality that
are even more stringent than those required by law. Therefore,
we have always protected, and will continue to always protect,
your right to privacy.
Types of Non-Public Personal Information We Collect
We
collect nonpublic personal information about you that is provided
to us by you or obtained by us from additional sources.
Parties
To Whom We Disclose Information
Regarding
all of out current and former clients, we do not disclose
any personal information obtained in the course of our practice
except as required by law. Permitted disclosures include,
for instance, providing information to our employees, in the
course of completing work on behalf of the client. In all
such situations, we stress the confidential nature of information
being shared. All of us at James H. Richardson, CPA, PC are
under contract to maintain the same level of confidentiality
whether a CPA, accountant, bookeeper, or secretary.
By
law we are required to disclose certain personal information
under the following circumstances: if and only if you give
instructions by phone or written authorization to comply with
federal, state or local laws, in response to a summons or
subpoena, or as directed by you personally to any other party
you so request. We are allowed to maintain client-accountant
confidentiality as detailed in the Internal Revenue Code in
dealing with tax matters.
Protecting
the Confidentiality and Security of Current and Former Clients'
Information
James H. Richardson, CPA, PC retains records relating to professional
services provided so that we are better able to assist you
with your professional needs and to comply with professional
standards. In order to guard your nonpublic personal information,
we maintain electronic firewalls for computer information,
and electronic surveillance (a burglar alarm), both complying
with our professional standards.
