Mr.
James Richardson, owner, Chief Executive
Officer, Certified Public Accountant and served his country
in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Upon completion
of his duty, Jim finished his college degree at the University
of Portland, graduating with high honors. He went to work
with a large international accounting firm in Portland, Oregon.
As an in-house staff accountant, he was supervising audits
with less than two years' work experience. Jim was also selected
to be part of a elite group of accountants (auditing specialists)
to receive an in-depth tax course.
Jim
left this firm to join a publicly held audit client that was
having significant financial difficulties at that time. By
instituting changes in procedures used to take physical inventories,
and implementing control over cash, the company became liquid
and profitable to the end that it was purchased by a larger
competitor.
Jim
then joined an international company and took it through tax
audits at the federal, state, and Canadian level; Jim's expertise
resulted in substantial tax refunds to this company, as well
as assuring future tax benefits. The company, then in the
process of implementing a conversion from a manual accounting
system to a computerized accounting system, necessitated development
of software that gave it to quote customers and maintain inventory
control to ensure profitability. This was directed by Jim
for a successful implementation.
In
1980, Jim founded his own accounting firm; it continues to
grow by handling both individual and business clients. He
has several business proven associates with specific industry
and professional business knowledge that handle and assist
him in meeting his clients needs.
